Here is Vijaya Deshpande's recipe for a spicy raita.
Ingredients:
1 tbsp Metkoot powder
1 cup curd
A pinch of sugar
Fresh coriander leaves - chopped
For tempering:
½ tsp mustard seeds
A pinch of asafetida
4-5 curry leaves
1 dry red chilli
1 tsp oil
Method:
- Mix Metkoot powder and sugar in curd and beat well.
- Now heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, asafetida, curry leaves and dry red chilli.
- Pour this tempering into the curd mixture and mix well.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
