A dollop of honey – from white to dark amber, and flavours from mild to distinctively bold – is used as a sweetener in cooking, baking, garnishing and even in beverages and milk shakes. Experts say that honey can add flavour, moisture and anti-microbial effects to almost anything from salads, yoghurt, ice-cream and pasta dough.
Pour a spoonful of honey into your cereal bowl along with crisp corn flakes, muesli or the cereal of your choice and a helping of hot milk.
